Enchanted Living is thoughtful living. Think about it. The more consciously aware you are of your life and what you are doing, the more you enjoy it and it has meaning.
I really can’t say it any better than this quote from William Henry Channing
“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy . . .to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to the stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open hearts; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never; in a word to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.”
There’s nothing wrong with having dreams of a better life, more money, better career, new home, fine clothes, but at what cost? Are you losing yourself in the material world around you and forgetting the unique, precious YOU? Your mind, your spirit, your body – they are more important than the ‘things’ or image you present to the rest of the world.
Is your world in balance?
Take the time to listen to the birds and look at the stars. Sit and listen to your own thoughts and feelings. What are they really telling you? Are you acting in your own best interest, following what you are passionate about? Or are you doing what is expected of you by society’s standard?
Are you a sheep or an eagle? Do you follow the path of others or soar freely and high?
Being your true self and following your enchanted path may be harder than treading the common road but it will make you happier. Are you ready to do that for yourself? I bet your are!
